Alright, so you’re askin’ about them tarot cards, huh? And if they’re some kinda black magic? Well, let me tell ya, I’ve seen a thing or two in my days, and it ain’t always what folks make it out to be.
First off, what is this “black magic” anyway? Sounds scary, like somethin’ outta them spooky movies. Folks say it’s about doin’ bad things, hexin’ people, and messin’ with spirits. Now, I ain’t sayin’ that stuff ain’t real, but it ain’t always tied to what you think it is.
Tarot cards, on the other hand, they’re just pictures on pieces of cardboard, ya know? Pretty pictures, some of ’em, with all sorts of folks and symbols. People use ’em to try and figure out what’s gonna happen, or what they should do. Kinda like lookin’ at the clouds, tryin’ to see shapes.
Now, some folks, they get all worked up about it. They say, “Oh, them cards are evil! They’re the devil’s playthings!” But I say, hold on a minute. A hammer can build a house or it can bash someone’s head in. It ain’t the hammer’s fault, it’s the person usin’ it, right? Same with them cards.
- It’s all about what’s in your heart. If you’re comin’ at it with good intentions, just tryin’ to understand things a little better, then where’s the harm?
- But if you’re lookin’ to do bad, to control folks or mess with their lives, well, that’s a different story.
I heard tell of some folks usin’ cards for spell work, tryin’ to make things happen. And maybe some of ’em do. But that don’t mean the cards themselves are bad. It’s the person doin’ the spell, their intentions and what they’re tapin’ into.
Some say tarot is divination, a way to connect with somethin’ bigger than us. And maybe it is. But it ain’t no different than prayin’, or readin’ the Bible, or even just listenin’ to your gut. It’s all about tryin’ to find some guidance in this crazy world.
I remember my grandma, she used to read tea leaves. Said she could see the future in them little soggy leaves at the bottom of the cup. Was she doin’ black magic? Nah, she was just tryin’ to help folks, give ’em a little somethin’ to hold onto.
And that’s what I think about tarot cards. They’re just a tool, like a hammer or a teacup. They can be used for good or bad, depends on who’s holdin’ ’em. Don’t go blamin’ the cards for what people do with them. That’s like blamin’ the gun for a shootin’. It ain’t the gun’s fault, it’s the person pullin’ the trigger.
So, are tarot cards black magic? I don’t think so. They’re just cards. They got symbols and stories, and if you look at ’em the right way, they might tell you somethin’ useful. But they ain’t gonna make you evil, unless you already got that in you to begin with.

One thing though, some folks are sensitive, like my niece, gets all jittery around certain things. So if you feel uncomfortable, listen to your gut. It ain’t about brave or scared, its about knowing your own limits.
Anyways, that’s just my two cents. You take it or leave it. But don’t go judgin’ somethin’ before you understand it, that’s all I’m sayin’. Life is complicated enough without addin’ more fear to it.
Tarot reading ain’t about predictin’ the future perfectly, its more like gettin’ a nudge in the right direction. Like when you can’t find your glasses and someone says ‘hey, they’re on your head!’ It ain’t magic, it’s just seein’ what’s already there but you were too busy to notice. So, use your common sense, and don’t go lookin’ for trouble where there ain’t none.
